The “Everything (but the) Bagel” Seed Mix

$5.95

500 seed minimum

Like surprises? Like native plants? Like a bargain? Our Everything (but the) Bagel seed mix is just for you!

This mix is made up of foraged seeds that aren’t able to be sold individually. Maybe I couldn’t confidently narrow down the variety, or maybe I didn’t find enough seeds to create its own listing, or maybe I spilled a few jars on accident and didn’t want to take the time to separate them out again (it happens).

The mixture is made up mostly of seeds listed on the website, plus a few other surprises found while out foraging. I do not intentionally include seed from varieties that might be considered “noxious weeds” in some areas (bull thistle, cleavers, etc.) but since those seeds are in my inventory a random seed or two may find its way in accidentally.

Scatter seed on prepared soil (weeded and turned) in autumn. Be sure to empty the entire packet of seed (some seeds are tiny and resemble chaff or dirt!) If the seedbed isn’t covered by snowfall, provide moisture when excessively dry. Water in spring as temperatures rise.

Some seeds will germinate quickly, others will take months or even years. Most will self-seed. Keep things weeded and watered and you’ll be greeted with new surprises every year!
